Samarth Mahapatra

I am a second-year undergraduate studying EECS at UC Berkeley and am a researcher at BAIR in the Kanazawa AI Research lab where I'm advised by Angjoo Kanazawa.

My research is focused on advancing robotic perception by drawing inspiration from the human visual system. Currently, that means working on active vision projects in order to give robots the ability to look around their environments with intention. I am also a Regents' and Chancellor's Scholar at Berkeley.

In high school, I participated in both FIRST Tech Challenge and FIRST Robotics Competition and made some incredible memories. You can find some of my robots here.
